STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® confirms ‘axe-hilarating’ 2024 season schedule

STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is excited to announce the complete schedule of national and international events, as The Original Extreme Sport strikes back into ‘axe-tion’ in 2024.

The international season will commence on the weekend of 25th May with the World Trophy. The competition will provide the world’s finest logger sports athletes the chance to compete in the highly competitive Trophy format and earn their title as World Champion in this TIMBERSPORTS® format. The Rookie World Championship will start the day of high-octane action, as the fashion capital welcomes both events to the cutting-edge Allianz MiCo Convention Centre in Milan, Italy.

European Trophy geared for axe-tion
To mark a summer of extreme sports action, the European Trophy will land in Bellinzona, Switzerland on Sunday 29th September, with the continents leading athletes going head-to-head in the renowned Trophy format in pursuit of qualification for the 2025 World Trophy. The place is considered the gateway to the Alps and offers a breathtaking mountain backdrop for the competition, where the top ten athletes will get their ticket for next year’s World Trophy.

International season to culminate with World Championships in France
The Team and Individual World Championships, the climax of the TIMBERSPORTS® season, will be held for the first time ever in France on 8th-9th November. The host city of Toulouse, widely recognised for its devoted sports fans will see both events held at the famed Zénith Toulouse Metropole arena. 

The Team World Championship will kick off a thrilling weekend on Friday 8th November, before the solo athletes take centre stage in the Individual World Championship on Saturday 9th. Both competitions will bring together the greatest international athletes and nations to battle it out for world domination in The Original Extreme Sport.

National seasons are underway
The national seasons have already begun, opening in March with the Australian Trophy and Women Championship, together with the New Zealand Pro, Rookie and Women’s Championships and will continue around the globe until October. Highlight national competitions will be broadcast and livestreamed internationally on the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® social media channels, ensuring fans around the world have regular access to high-class extreme sports content.
