The new polish TIMBERSPORTS® Champion is Szymon Groenwald. This is the first title in the career of a twenty-year-old athlete.
The competition for the title of Polish champion STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® was entered by 14 of the best competitors in the country. Unexpectedly Michał Dubicki was disqualified in the first round in the Stock Saw competition due to crossing the cutting zone. The youngest in the entire group, Szymon Groenwald, gained an advantage over his competitors from the beginning of the competition. In one of the most demanding competitions, Standing Block Chop, Groenwald set a new Polish record with a time of 14:44 seconds and maintained a slight advantage over his competitors all the time.
The twenty-year-old Szymon showed great class and won the gold medal. Brothers Michał and Marcin Dubicki also showed extraordinary skills and took the remaining two places on the podium. Their performances were proof of the growing level and competitiveness in Polish STIHL TIMBERSPORTS®.
