Michel Perrin is the new Italian champion 2025

The STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Italian Championship 2025 ended on Sunday with the victory of the athlete Michel Perrin, who prevailed against the eleven strongest Italian athletes in the Pro class. Michel Perrin will represent Italy at the Individual World Championships in Milan. He set three personal records in Anterselva, including a new national record in the Underhand Chop discipline with a time of 20.27 seconds.

 

The newly crowned champion explained: "It was an intense day of competition, but incredibly rewarding. I worked hard to prepare for this moment, driven by my passion for the sport and by the incredibly high level of my teammates. Representing Italy at the upcoming World Championships in Milan will be a great honor and I will give my all to keep the Italian flag flying high in this sport that is gaining more and more fans in our country."

In the Südtirol Arena in Anterselva (BZ), there were also outstanding performances in the Rookie and Women's competitions. After a morning of breathtaking action, Switzerland's Romain Bertholet came out on top in the Rookie class, while Swedish champion Tove Njåstad took first place in the Women's Cup. Italian athlete Marta Poletti, the 2024 champion, came second and set national records in the standing block chop and single buck disciplines.

This marks the end of the 2025 Italian national edition, which attracted numerous fans of this spectacular sport to Anterselva to experience an unforgettable show. All eyes are now on the next big events in the calendar. October 24 and 25 are marked in red for the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship, which will electrify the Allianz Cloud in Milan.
