STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is axe-cited to announce the dates for the 2024 TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship, which will see the season highlight contested in France for the first time. On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November 2024, the world's elite logger sports athletes will take to the stage at Toulouse's famed Zénith Toulouse Metropole arena.


INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION – 9 November 2024
The Individual World Championship will take place on Saturday 9th November and see the world’s top 12 athletes stand to their timbers in all six TIMBERSPORTS® disciplines in a three-round elimination format.

In each discipline, the competitors will accumulate points based on the time it takes them to slash through their blocks, with the lowest ranked athletes eliminated at the end of each round. After the three rounds, the athlete with the most points will be proclaimed the 2024 Individual World Champion.

Throughout the 2024 season, the leading individual athletes will aim to qualify for this season highlight, with the national champions of Australia, United States, Canada, and New Zealand, competing against the eight best national champions from Europe. As the individual athlete representing the host nation, the French national Pro champion will be guaranteed a spot.

Individual competition format

Only the Pro athletes participate in the Individual competition format, which features all six disciplines. Pro athletes are those who can compete safely in all six TIMBERSPORTS® disciplines with the corresponding Pro wood diameter, gender has no influence.
