Swiss hope for no holes in their game with home advantage
The set of entries shows a stacked field aiming to slice through the competition in Switzerland, with the host nation aiming for success through seasoned chopper Oliver Reinhard and his compatriot Severin Bühler. Reinhard will be hoping for an improvement on last year, having been disqualified in the Round of 16, while European Trophy debutant Bühler will strive to ride the wave of local support.
Amongst the favourites will be Netherlands’ defending European Trophy Champion, Redmer Knol, as well as last year’s runner-up Ferry Svan from Sweden. They will face stiff competition from 2024 World Trophy runner-up Matyáš Klíma (Czech Republic) and familiar faces such as Michał Dubicki (Poland), Emil Hansson (Sweden), Danny Martin (Germany) and Glen Penlington (Great Britain).
Meanwhile Belgium’s 17-year-old 2024 Rookie World Championship silver medallist, Kamiel van Raemdonck, will attempt to mix it with the Pros as he continues to enjoy a breakthrough season.
