STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is proud to announce that it will be extending its cooperation with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, a partnership that has driven the success of the Original Extreme Sport in recent years. Already since 2015, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has promoted the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship, the Champions Trophy and national events in Germany. Until the end of 2020, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will continue their strong partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles being the main sponsor of the Champions Trophy and STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® in Germany.

For the upcoming competitions, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® will once again be able to rely on the services of the award-winning Amarok, a vehicle that recently won the "International Pick-up Award" and that since 2016 has been equipped with powerful V6 TDI diesel engines.

As a stand-alone brand within the Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is globally responsible for the development, construction and sales of light commercial vehicles, producing the Transporter, Caddy, Crafter, and Amarok ranges.

STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® around the world
In 2018, the international competition season starts with the Champions Trophy in France, where on 26 May the world's top twelve TIMBERSPORTS® athletes will gather in Marseille to compete for one of the sport's most coveted trophies at the impressive MuCEM building in the city's old port. The Champions Trophy will be followed by national championships in more than 15 countries before on 19/20 October the season culminates in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® World Championship in Liverpool, England.
