As in previous years, the annual judge meeting has been the season kick-off and is an important part of the season's schedule. This year's edition took place from January 10th to 12th, again in St. Johann in Tyrol, with seven judges from five nations attending. In the course of three days, the global judge team discussed various topics to improve the sport and guarantee equal competition conditions for all athletes worldwide.
The judges together with Global Sports Director Spike Milton reviewed last year's season and had a look back at difficult decisions of 2018's competitions. They discussed continuous actions to ensure the global development of the rookie competitors including additional competition formats. As in previous years, the committee improved the wording of the international rules and regulations to make them more comprehensible for both athletes and judges.
