The reigning World Champion of the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series Jason Wynyard from New Zealand remains unbeaten. In Stuttgart he outclassed the American Matt Cogar in a thrilling final. The number one European athlete, Martin Komarek from the Czech Republic, placed third in the sold-out Porsche-Arena.
The best logger sports athletes from twelve countries competed in the World Championship of the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series in Stuttgart on November 12, 2016. New Zealander Jason Wynyard took the title for the eighth time. Second came American Matt Cogar, third (and best European) was Martin Komarek from the Czech Republic. The Canadian Stirling Hart thrilled the crowd with a new World Record in the Spring Board.
Stuttgart‘s Porsche-Arena was completely sold out - over 5,500 spectators watched the nail-biting World Championship event. The reigning champion Jason Wynyard got emotional: "I have come a long way to be here again. I worked very hard for it and tonight´s success makes me incredibly happy".
